SPORT NAUTIQUE ANDERNOS

history

Sport Nautique Andernos (SNA) is a sports association, under the 1901 law, for leisure, discovery and teaching of sailing in the Bassin of Arcachon. It was founded in 1920.

The club is certified as a Sailing School and as a Sport and Recreational School by the French Sailing Federation; this certification ensures to participants the recognition of a quality service.

The SNA offers a year-round activity from March to December, including internships during school holidays. It provides the public with a fleet of around a hundred boats, spread over different supports adapted to each age (optimist, dinghy, catamaran and windsurfing board).

The SNA is a historical and friendly club.
The SNA is a training club (around 550 members per year), an employer club (3 permanent employees and seasonal instructors) and a citizens’ club (diversity of the public welcomed).

Goals

  • to encourage and to develop the taste for the practice of sailing in all its forms;

  • to ensure the practice and teaching of sailing;
  • to organize regattas and cruises on the Bassin of Arcachon;
  • to organize and to develop water sport in all its current and future aspects;
  • to participate in the animation of Andernos city;
  • to promote citizen and environmental awareness (responsibility, autonomy, respect for others and the environment);
  • to support young people in their path of social and professional integration.

Management committee

The Association is administered by a Management Committee made up of at least four members and not more than twelve members.
The Management Committee appoints from among its members a president, a secretary and a treasurer, who constitute the Management Committee Board.

The permanent team is made up of 3 instructors, holders of the Professional Certificate in Youth, Popular Education and Sport (BPJEPS), mention Sailing.

They form an experienced, motivated and dynamic team who welcome you throughout the year.
In high season, the team is reinforced by qualified instructors.
